Well according to me my friend, for LPR (Laryngopharyngeal Reflux), the best approach is: Start with an ENT specialist because: ENT can examine the throat, voice box, vocal cords, and look for signs of LPR (redness, swelling, posterior commissure hypertrophy, cobblestoning). They rule out other causes like allergies, sinus issues, or vocal strain. ENT often makes the initial diagnosis of LPR. Then consult a Gastroenterologist because: LPR is ultimately a reflux problem originating from the stomach. A gastroenterologist evaluates the esophagus, stomach acid, motility, and can do endoscopy, pH impedance study, and prescribe targeted treatment. Good luck!
