The causes of sensitivity can be multiple like tooth decay, worn off tooth or teeth, receeded gum etc. the cause of sensitivity for you has to be ascertained by clinical examination by a dentist. For the time being, you can use Colgate sensitive plus/sensitive pro relief for brushing as well as apply it on the sensitive tooth for 5 mins with a finger and then rinse. This can be repeated 3-4 times in a day.

Could be a cavity or gum recession or erosion of enamel on the side of the teeth. Clinical examination required for proper diagnosis
