Rybelsus (oral semaglutide) does work and it is the tablet version, so no injection - but it is a prescription drug, needs slow dose escalation from 3 mg, and it is not meant for someone who just wants to lose a few kilos. In India it is appropriate when BMI is 30 or above, or 27 plus with a problem like prediabetes, PCOS, fatty
liver or high BP. Also, "cravings and low metabolism" in a 27-year-old woman usually has a driver - untreated hypothyroidism, PCOS/insulin resistance, low iron or
B12, poor sleep, or crash dieting that wrecked the metabolic rate - and that must be found first, because if you start and stop the drug the weight returns. Nausea, constipation and reflux are common side effects, and it is avoided in pregnancy planning, pancreatitis history or family
thyroid cancer.

Get
TSH, fasting insulin and

HbA1c, lipids, haemoglobin/
ferritin,
vitamin D and
B12, plus a pelvic scan if periods are irregular, and note your actual height-weight/BMI. Fix protein intake (about 1.2 g/kg), resistance training twice a week and 7 hours of sleep for 8-12 weeks. Bring the reports to a consult with me on Practo and I will tell you honestly whether Rybelsus is justified for you and how to start it safely - not something to order off the internet.
