I have a toothache and consulted doctor and require RCT. Do I need to take any antibiotics before the treatment?

No need to take medicines before treatment.  If at all required in certain cases the doctor prescribe you the same. So if it's not given by your concerned doctor don't take them.

No. Antibiotics are not warranted in root canal treatment any longer unless you are immuno compromised for any reason or have uncontrolled diabetes.

You don’t need antibiotics for every RCT case it depends on the case and medical condition if you need antibiotics or not So if you need your concerned dentist would prescribe
