Hi Usually all dental procedure will be carried out only during 2 nd trimester of pregnancy....it is not safe doing dental treatment in 1 st trimister as the drugs given during the procedure will affects organogenesis of the child  and during 3 rd trimester it may cause preterm labour of the child.... Kindly consult with gynaecologist before doing root canal treatment

Usually the 2nd trimester (4-6 months of pregnancy) is a relatively safer periiod for dental treatment. However, emergencies would have to be dealt with on the merit of the case. Consult your Gynaecologist first.

Yes it's completely safe. If u don't get it done now you May have to go for extraction of tooth which is more problematic in pregnancy

Root canal treatment in itself is safe. It is the anaesthesia and x-rays taken during the procedure that poses a risk. If your dentist has relevant equipment to avoid x-ray and anaesthesia, then you should be fine. Another option is get the tooth filled with a medication temporarily, and complete root canal after delivery.
