RCT alternative

2017-01-05 03:17:52
I have severe tooth ace since 3 days. Doctor x-ray'ed and suggested root canal or tooth removal, preferred RCT. How long can I safely delay RCT of my aching tooth. As a temporary pain reliever doctor had applied small medicated cotton at the place. Is there really no option other than RCT

There is no other alternate option . You should get RCT done asap delaying can further complicate the situation leading to its extraction finally.

hello, root canal is the safest and most common procedure carried out in all clinics. so don't worry, get it done. Delaying the treatment is only going to worsen your problem. Root canal treatment is preferred over extraction.

When ever u get a pain there r only 2 options left away 1.To save the tooth -Root canal therapy (RCT) 2.To remove the tooth- Extraction Best to save the tooth with RCT so that whole infectious tissue will b removed and followed by Root canal filling.
Health Tips
better not to delay.

Hi,get the rct done as soon as possible. There is no alternative to Rct because delaying the treatment only worsens the pain and it is a safe procedure.

No there is no other option of rct. And if you have been told to get rct done then go with it asap. there is no such thing as safe period. if there is large carious defect, remaining tooth may break in a day or week or month. then there will be only option for extraction

Hi A tooth comprises of three layers ..... Enamel , Dentin and Pulp ( the innermost). Once the cavity extends to the pulp we are not left with many options . The Tooth can either be treated by RCT or extracted. The delay in treatment is only going to deteriorate the condition and the chances of saving the tooth will only minimise I would advise you to go for RCT and save the tooth. Hope my reply helped you. Thanks.
