NAC, herbal medicines and whey protein generally do not affect standard HIV, hepatitis, syphilis or urine PCR results. Since the exposure was 6 months ago, testing now is conclusive for most infections. Please get HIV Ag/Ab, HBsAg, anti-HCV, syphilis testing and urine NAAT for gonorrhoea/chlamydia as indicated.
Next Steps
I can review the reports on a Practo consult, or you may visit me at Synergy Multispeciality Hospital, Miraj.

You can go ahead with the tests without stopping NAC, Arjuna or whey protein. These are antibody, antigen and PCR based tests. Dietary supplements have no effect on them.
Next Steps
Tell the lab what you take anyway, so it is on record. At six months since exposure, one round of testing is enough for a preventive check.

NAC, whey protein, or herbal supplements generally do not interfere with standard STD test results, but disclose all supplements to your doctor. At 6 months after exposure, most standard STI tests are generally reliable for screening. For personalized guidance on the appropriate STD panel, you may connect with me via Practo.
