Take low sodium diet for hypertension. Do not take oral salt. Avoid salty foods, canned foods, fried foods, fast and junc foods, red meat, saturated fats and high cholesterol containing foods, refined carbohydrates, simple sugar. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Drink plenty of water. Drink buttermilk as good source of protein and it  will keep you hydrated as well. You can take normal protein diet as per your ideal body weight with moderate amount of complex carbohydrates. High protein diet is not suggested.
