Prolactin level after ovulation in PCOS

2025-07-19 15:01:06
Hi, i'm 28 F, married 3 months ago. I'm a PCOS patient with regular periods from past 3 years with maintaining lifestyle. In march and april i took norlut-n 5 mg to reset cycle for marriage in april. My last cycle date is 24th June. I got my prolactin tested today and its 125. Is it normal during this cycle or should i consider consult for medicine? I'm not pregnant as well. Other hormone test are normal, only Insulin is 30.

No it is not normal. The prolactin level should be done in morning 4 hours after waking up. Get a repeat prolactin 4 hours after waking up and if the level is still raised you have to take medicine for raised prolactin

Hi Why did u do prolactin test? Do you have hypothyroidism? Do u have symptoms of headache, ripple discharge? Treatment doesn't depend on raised prolactin levels , even symptoms matter So please consult a gynaecologist
