Hello Dr, I am facing issue in breast feeding . My baby is now 2 months old . Actually my milk supply is very less only 30 ml after using breast pump . My nipple is flat , thats why inuse nipple shield so that baby can latch . But i am worried whether my milk supply will stop. He is mostly dependent on formula . I am tensed , i want to brestfeed my baby , but unable to find solution. Please suggest some medicines or natural remedy to enhance milk production. My confidence is getting low day by day . I have thyroid and take 12.5mcg tablet daily . Thank you

The most important factor for your decreased breast milk is stress. After delivery which is also called as post partum period is the most difficult time in a women’s life.
Next Steps
Try to keep the baby for breastfeeding even when the breast milk is less. Attaching the baby to your breast will itself increase the breast milk production. Your affection towards your baby will increase and your stress will reduce. This causes oxytocin to be released which will in turn enhance milk production. Eat healthy as well. Diet rich in calcium.
Health Tips
If it still doesn’t work consult a gynaecologist, as there are certain medicines which enhance milk production.
