Hi I am 6 weeks pregnant and i have very severe nausea and vomiting where am unable to sip even water.. doctor has prescribed to take ondem md 4 thrice daily..could you please advise is that safe? As i have heard ondem tablet causes split lips in babies.. Thanks

Ondasetron has been studied extensively in USA . It has been found that it doesn't lead to increased incidence of foetal malformations. USFDA has approved for use in pregnancy for morning sickness. However, Ondasetron is the last word in treatment of vomiting. So if patient can manage with a mild drug like Doxinate , it is better.

It is better if you take Tab . Doxinate thrice daily before food . And if you are vomiting more than 5-6 times a day . Plz consult in person or online . Bcz excessive vomiting might dehydrate you and might be bad for your baby
