Placenta gap is 3cm

I am 35 weeks pregnant, and my recent scan shows that the distance between the placenta and the internal os is 3 cm. In this situation, is normal delivery possible, or would a C-section be safer?

this is normal., not low lying placenta. You can attempt a normal delivery if there is no history of bleeding during pregnancy recently

Hi Placenta posterior and within 3 cm from the os is a borderline scenario. In case there is even minimal bleeding or spotting before labor pains, it mandates C section, otherwise it should be a mutual understanding and decision making with the Obstetrician in charge

Yes, you can go ahead with normal vaginal delivery Precautionary step: get a repeat scan to just look for placenta 2-3weeks from this scan.

3cm away from the os is normal.. You can go for a normal delivery if everything else is favourable during your due date
