Period lasted for 10 days

My August month period lasted for 10 days (15 - 25th Aug) whereas usually it last only for 4-5 days. My average period comes in 25-28 days. September month I have not got my periods yet, but have that period cramps from 1 week. What could be the issue, is it something serious?

Bleeding more than 7 days is abnormal Since day one of your last period was 15 You should idly wait till 22nd of this month if there is no pregnancy as cycle length up to 37 days is considered normal Beyond that you need investigations and treatment
