Pain under the shoulder blade and arm.

2023-09-14 13:16:02
I recently started feeling this occasional pain under my left shoulder blade which move towards my arm sometimes while I am sitting and it gets really bad in the arm. For the background I am active, working out 5-6 times a week, within normal bmi and started sitting more from past couple of months. It's like a tingling sensation first then changes to pain. Please help!

Need to consult in person with physical therapist. Its seems to be trigger points issue, doing myofascial release will reduce pain. Maintain proper posture.

Hey there! Your case seems like that of trigger points activated in your subscapularis muscle. Please consult a orthopaedician if you have not done physical activities for a long time now as trigger points do not "usually" develop that ways. There are quite some chances of nerve issues developed due to orthopaedic issue. You need a thorough examination. When you are idle and a trigger point has developed, there would be "stiffness" unlike your present symptoms. Such trigger points are developed in a physically inactive or sedentary individual mostly.
Next Steps
please visit a orthopaedician or a physiotherapist to be assessed and examined properly in person.
