Pain in anus while passing stool

I have lump protruding outside my anus which causes pain while passing stool. I generally use proctosedyl bd ointment but it cannot subdue the pain when I have frequent bowel movements. Doctor has prescribed me smuth cream and anobliss cream to be used together. But i have never used two creams together at the same time. Should i follow the advice.
