Dear sir What is the better position to measure SPO2. My saturation was 98 in sitting upright position and 96 in lying suspine position . What is the reason for 96 saturation in suspine position. Is this normal for the above variation???

It is better to check spo2 in the sitting position Yes it possible that the value might be a little lower when lying down Unless you are having symptoms you don’t have to worry about this

SPO2 saturation measure O2 concentration in the blood. Saturation is more ik upright position of body and low in the lying position of body so that that differences are showing in the values.
