Duration of the wear should be addressed 3. The pattern you said is generally used for midline correction - it has a purpose , so if your orthodontist recommends it, go for it.

In my experience  most ortho patients often forget the pattern of Orthodontic  elastic wear. Always double check with your Orthodontist. Now if this is the pattern of wear advised for you. Then stick to it. The pattern of wear is determined by which teeth are needed to move. This to improve treatment progress and timely treatment completion. Hope this helped
