Hi I am really trying hard to conceive naturally since 1 year but couldn't. I conceived naturally in 2021 but after 5 months I started bleeding and had to go for abortion . After that didn't conceive. I have shown to many doctors and got my all tests done but everything is normal.My one of the gynae has suggested to go for hsg test .Will this be helpful or should I go for something else. Also I want to have test done with anesthesia. Does hsg test with or without makes any difference in report?

HSG is a useful test. It can be done under anaesthesia but the cost of HSG will go up three times. There is no difference in the report whether it is done with or without anaesthesia.

HSG is necessary U can request the radiologist for pain killers n then get it done U will not feel the pain

HSG is not done under anaesthesia as anaesthesia has its own risks. Yes u need to undergo HSG test as for more than a year post abortion u are not able to conceive

Mam you will require HSG of Diagnostic Hysterolaproscopy ( DHL) . HSG is usually  done without using anaesthesia.

U definitely need the hsg to see if the tubes post the last abortion are open or closed Most centers will not do it under anesthesia
