Keep the wound clean and dry, apply T-bact twice daily after gentle cleaning with saline or Betadine. Avoid covering with tight dressing unless there’s active discharge. If you notice increasing blackness, foul smell, fever, or pain, it could indicate deeper infection — needing urgent dressing and possibly IV antibiotics. Don’t worry — with proper antibiotic coverage and wound care, this can heal very well. But it’s important to assess whether any dead tissue needs to be cleaned to prevent spreading infection. If the wound is superficial, clean and not showing pus continue local care — cleansing daily with mild antiseptic (Betadine or saline) and applying topical antibiotic cream. If the wound appears deep, dirty, or has blackish/white discoloration, it could indicate damage or infection. In that case ideally the patient needs physical examination by a local doctor.

If the wound is not Deep ,only topical antibiotic is required.In case if deeper and contaminated wound antibiotic like cephalexin or clindamycin or cefuroxime help

Wound Care: Continue Betadine cleansing twice daily. Apply T-bact cream (Mupirocin) thin layer twice daily after cleaning. Keep wound open to air or covered with sterile gauze if oozing. Antibiotic (Oral): Tab Amoxiciclav 625 mg 1 tab twice daily after food × 5–7 days. Analgesic / Anti-inflammatory: Tab Paracetamol 650 mg — every 8 hours if pain. (or Tab Aceclofenac 100 mg + Paracetamol 325 mg twice daily after food × 3 days) Tetanus: Tetanus injection already given then no repeat needed within 6 months. Local Care: Keep limb elevated to reduce swelling. Avoid applying alcohol or spirit repeatedly — may delay healing. Observe for signs of infection: increased pain, pus, foul smell, fever, spreading redness.
