Need antibiotics suggestion
My husband caught into a bike accident where he got cut in his leg, which is blackish outside and inside white. I have cleared it with alcohols, betadine and also gave tbact cream and also titenas injection. Which antibiotic can be taken to cure it ?

Since your husband’s wound is blackish outside and white inside, it suggests there might be tissue necrosis (dead skin) or early infection, especially after a road accident. You’ve done well by cleaning it with Betadine, alcohol, and applying T-bact, and giving a Tetanus injection — that’s excellent first aid.
However, such wounds can easily get deeper bacterial infection (especially with Staph or Pseudomonas) if not managed with proper antibiotics and wound care.
Here’s what I recommend:
Oral antibiotic (for mild cases): Amoxicillin-clavulanate 625 mg twice daily for 5–7 days after meals.
If the area is red, swollen, or oozing pus → a stronger antibiotic like Cefuroxime or Cefixime + Clavulanate may be required.
Keep the wound clean and dry, apply T-bact twice daily after gentle cleaning with saline or Betadine.
Avoid covering with tight dressing unless there’s active discharge.
If you notice increasing blackness, foul smell, fever, or pain, it could indicate deeper infection — needing urgent dressing and possibly IV antibiotics.
Don’t worry — with proper antibiotic coverage and wound care, this can heal very well. But it’s important to assess whether any dead tissue needs to be cleaned to prevent spreading infection.

If the wound is superficial, clean and not showing pus continue local care — cleansing daily with mild antiseptic (Betadine or saline) and applying topical antibiotic cream.
If the wound appears deep, dirty, or has blackish/white discoloration, it could indicate damage or infection. In that case ideally the patient needs physical examination by a local doctor.

How old the wound is atleast you should upload a picture of wound of only small wound and little deep than only dressing with proper sterlized method

To provide the antibiotic info other details are required such as type of wound (open/closed), size of the wound etc empirically the following medication can be given but the duration varies, if it is an open/ latge wound give it for a week but if it is closed or small wound give for 5 days

Till now whatever has been done is basic care which can be given, but before starting any antibiotics or even other medications, it is necessary to examine by atleast seeing the wound, to know the extent of injury and decide of the level of treatment required.

Kindly share me the image of wound and will look deep into the details of wound and if pus points are present then as a clinical microbiologist I would strongly suggest to proceed with wound culture and sensitivity and then proceed with the antibiotics .

Wound Care:
Continue Betadine cleansing twice daily.
Apply T-bact cream (Mupirocin) thin layer twice daily after cleaning.
Keep wound open to air or covered with sterile gauze if oozing.
Antibiotic (Oral):
Tab Amoxiciclav 625 mg 1 tab twice daily after food × 5–7 days.
Analgesic / Anti-inflammatory:
Tab Paracetamol 650 mg — every 8 hours if pain.
(or Tab Aceclofenac 100 mg + Paracetamol 325 mg twice daily after food × 3 days)
Tetanus:
Tetanus injection already given then no repeat needed within 6 months.
Local Care:
Keep limb elevated to reduce swelling.
Avoid applying alcohol or spirit repeatedly — may delay healing.
Observe for signs of infection: increased pain, pus, foul smell, fever, spreading redness.
Next Steps
Recheck in 48–72 hours.
If blackish area spreads or wound base turns white and insensitive then urgent surgical debridement (risk of necrosis or gangrene).
