Hello, weight loss is a slow process, the quicker results would be seen when there is water loss, and not fat loss, that weight loss is unhealthy, and is quickly regained. In weight loss what we are looking for is the fat loss and not the water loss. For fat loss, what we look is for the inch loss. To achieve that one must work out of do some physical activity, at least an hour a day. Along with that, is the diet that comes into picture. One need not restrict carbohydrates, but monitor the type of carbohydrate being consumed. One must consume complex carbohydrates, that comes from whole grain cereals and pulses. Increase the intake of 1st class proteins that come majorly from low fat milk and milk products, lean cuts of meat, egg whites, etc. or from a blend of cereals and pulses. One must reduce the fat consumed in the diet, especially the visible fat intake, that comes from oils, butter, ghee, etc. The fats in the diet should come form the invisible sources, best being the nuts and oil seeds, avoiding ground nut, coco nut and cashew nut. Increase the intake of fiber coming from raw vegetables, and fruits.
