Ok.. So I see that the question is reframed.
Here is my reframed answer.
1. When nasya is taken at home it is called Pratimarsha nasya and 2 drops to each nostril or if you are pitta or kapha prakruthi or sukumara then 1 drop to each nostril is more than enough.
2. There are absolute contraindications to nasya such as you should not have any infection in nose when administration of oil. For Pratimarsha there are no contraindications but more than two drops then should keep many other issues in mind other than sunlight.
3. Ksheerabala oil sometimes will be thick in consistency so you may have to heat it up a little (very little)on water bath before administration
4. Also steam inhalation is always good after the nasya.
5. If you are doing it for the first time then take a steam only steam don't add any type of nilgiri or anything just steam inhalation once now and next time too it might take sometime to adjust.
If you are not happy with the nasya route of administration then consult with your health issue and get your problems solved with ayurvedic medications.
