Pain and strain in neck due to continiuos sitting. Is dry needling therapy useful? What are the consequences?

Yes, dry needling is helpful in your case but by the expert hands.. Otherwise  Ultrasonic therapy, TENS, and hearing therapy along with some strengthening exercises are helpful and safe as its not a big issue... Get hot water fomentation done +apply some painkiller gel+ take rest+avoid forward neck bending+no travelling +no manual exertions +no cold exposure.

Posture correction must.tk . other modalities like  IFT and ultrasonic therapy.. Dry needling    in this conditions avoid this.

Yes, dry needling is helpful but need to b incorporated with other physiotherapy modalities too. Make sure u r receving d procedure by expert hands only.

Hello there... I understand your concern... There are many possible reasons for your pain which has to be taken care....it may be due to Abnormalities in the bone or joints,trauma,poor posture,degenerative diseases,muscle strain,shoulder joint instability,dislocation...you may require investigations like x ray,MRI etc...Consult nearest orthopedic surgeon they will do the needful.

Pain I the n neck region could be muscular or pathological.

Get an ESR to rule out infection. Take care of postures and keep moving the neck through ranges in pain free limits.
