It sounds like your daughter has motion sickness, which is quite common in young children.
Next Steps
Medications that can be given: 1) Syp. Promethazine 10mg the night before journey, can repeat dose 3-4 hourse before journey if needed. Non-medicine strategies— these are safest and often work well for toddlers: 1) Sit her in a car seat facing forward (not rear-facing unless required for safety law) and in the middle seat so she can look out the front. 2) Encourage her to look outside rather than at books or toys. 3) Keep the car cool and well-ventilated. 4) Avoid heavy meals right before travel. 5) Give small sips of water or oral rehydration solution during breaks. 6) Frequent short breaks during long journeys.

Please consult a Paediatrician in your area for a physical examination and further management. Travelling by car is not an emergency most of the time. So you should try to get the best and most appropriate advice

It sounds like your daughter has motion sickness (also called travel sickness), which is fairly common in young children — especially between 2 and 12 years. ⸻ General Advice Before Considering Medicines For many toddlers, non-medicine strategies can help a lot: • Seat her facing forward, ideally in the middle rear seat so she can look out the front window. • Encourage her to look at distant scenery, not books or toys inside the car. • Keep the car cool and well ventilated; avoid strong smells (perfume, food). • Give a light snack (like crackers) before travel — avoid heavy or oily meals. • Frequent breaks for fresh air.
Next Steps
Please consult a paediatrician nearest to you if these things didn’t work

Immediate steps to be taken if travelling now- Stop the vehicle for sometime. Fresh air can help to reduce symptoms. Sit her upright, facing forward. Give small sips of water or ORS. Dont give a lot at once. Avoid food until she feels better then give something light like a biscuit or bland snacks.
Next Steps
Syrup dimenhydrinate (dramamine) can be given half an hr before travelling to prevent motion sickness but only after consulting a pediatrician as it can lead to drowsiness, dry mouth.

Your child likely has motion sickness. Seat her forward facing in the back and let her look outside... keep the car well-ventilated and avoid heavy meals before travel. Offer light snacks like crackers. Avoid adult motion sickness medicines in children. If the above methods fail Promethazine syrup(2.5ml) might work...give it before 30 mins of travelling...but try to avoid any syrups...it causes drowsiness..use it carefully...try to connect with a paediatrician
