I have anxiety disorder and panic disorder since two years. I have taken different medications for anxiety over these two years. Currently I am on Serta 50 mg, Clonotril 0.25mg and sos Alprax. Recently I took a holter monitor test to see if there is any cardiac issue. The report was normal but there was qt prolongation. I have read that the medications I take can prolong qt. So I wanted check is it safe to take Alprax and clonotril?

You should gradually build up the dose of serta to 100mg per day so that you should not feel need Alprax S.O.S. Also take Clonotril 0.25mg half tablet for 2 week and then stop. Regards.

Hi there, A detailed medical and psychiatric history is always needed for every case.Mental status examination is also recommended for every case. But some day can still be given. Most of the time, Benzodiazepines drugs are safe and don’t cause such cardiac problems unlike like antipsychotics, antidepressants and some drugs drugs . An opinion should be taken from a cardiologist too.
