There’s no fixed number of years for recovery. Even after 7 years of depression, you can still recover with the right treatment. It would be helpful to review your previous treatment and response, as the approach may need to be adjusted.
Next Steps
A consultation with a psychiatrist can help assess where you are currently and decide what treatment approach would be most suitable for you.
Health Tips
Please don’t lose hope just because this has been going on for years. Long-standing depression can still improve significantly with the right treatment. Do not stop or change medication suddenly without discussing it with your doctor.
