Major problem detected in MRI report. Compression in L5 S1. Doctor have asked for surgery to decompress. Should we go with surgery or with physiotherapist we can do the same. If we go with surgery what are the disadvantages? The patient is already in pain whenever she sleep. Please advise.

• Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. • Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily. • Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. • Avoid bending in front.

You can do physiotherapy for 1 months,. Get Lumber traction, ift and exercise. Avoid jerky movements and forward bending for now. Keep rest, and during sitting or travelling get ls belt.
