Some orthodontists think that wisdom teeth eruption after orthodontic treatment can lead to crowding of lower front teeth but there is no strong evidence about the same. If there is normal alignment, better you avoid removal of these.

It's not a general rule that all wisdom teeth have to be extracted : kindly check with your orthodontist and family dentist

Its not always necessary to extract wisdom tooth after orthodontic treatment. But since you have been advised to get it extracted the wisdom tooth must be having some problem like partially impacted or caries or some other issue. So ask your dentist your doubts and get it extracted.

Hello, Your orthodontist must have advised this as there is a school of thought which believes that the wisdom tooth eruption can alter the well aligned anterior teeth after the braces treatment. Regards Dr Sumanmakam
