L1 compression fracture

I suffered a L1 compression fracture two weeks ago.. But its still painful and i am unable to sit or stand. Do i need to take conplete bed rest? And for how long?

Bed rest is recommended for 3-6 weeks depending upon the severity of the fracture. For L1 fracture, when mobile, one should use a Taylor’s brace. Besides this, on and of pain killers depending on severity of pain and a course of calcium and vitamin D is recommended
