Knee pains

2019-08-05 05:02:52
Hi, I am getting knee pains while doing exercises or playing any games like TT or badminton or even for running. Not sure if it is because of my thigh/belly fat. I am 15 KGS extra as per bmi. I reduced 2 kg weight after doing exercises for 2 months. Now getting difficult due to these pains. Please suggest me.

Hiii......this might be because of osteoarthritis of knee ....lets first examine your knee properly with x ray ......if x ray clear go with mri of knee joint to see soft tissue injury inside knee ....... Treatment plan will make further after evaluation.

Hai.Excess weight puts extra pressure on your knees. The pressure exerted increases even more while playing. Best thing to do is knee strengthening exercises. And then concentrate on weight reduction. - sit with your knees and hip in 90 degree and then lift your knees slowly. Hold this position for 10seconds. Repeat for 10times twice daily. -lye on your back , keep a rolled towel below your knee and then try to press the towel gently. This shouldn't cause any movement on your hips. Hold for 10 sec repeat for 10times twice daily. - keep the towel below the ankle and repeat the same. - lye on your back and then lift your leg without bending your knees. Single leg at a time. Hold for 10 sec.repeat 10times twice daily.
Next Steps
you can progress these exercises by doing the same with a weight cuff.
Health Tips
For safety purpose you can use a knee cap while playing and walking not during resting.

Just avoid high-end sports for a while or you will risk your knee. Reduce the duration you play. Plus start knee strengthening exercises. As far as you have mentioned the pain is only when you are moving, so your knee is not able to take the weight of your body! Consult a sports physio for a set of exercises.
