Jaw pain during exercise can be due to clenching of teeth or it may be an underlying issues with your TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) or with the muscles in the jaw. It is always advisable to visit a dental clinic for physical examination of the jaw by a dentist. Along with that, you may want to use a mouth guard during exercise to help ease the TMJ and associated muscles and to prevent the teeth from grinding. Your jaw clenching will be prevented automatically by a mouth guard.
