Dry socket develops a between 3rd to 5th day prior to extraction with severe excruciating  pain, foul smell and that area looks dark.
Next Steps
please continue with pain killer and antibiotics  provided by dentist as indicated.avoid very hot and spicy food.
Health Tips
if the pain doesn't  subside and the site of extraction looks black instead of pink...follow  up with your dentist.

If you're experiencing intense pain and burning after drinking liquids following a wisdom tooth extraction, it could be dry socket.
Next Steps
Reach out to your Dentist or Oral surgeon immediately to determine if you need to come in for further evaluation.
Health Tips
In the meantime, take over-the-counter pain relievers, avoid irritants and drinking through a straw, smoking, or consuming hot or spicy foods, as these can further irritate the extraction site. Maintain oral hygiene, and stay hydrated with small sips of water.
