Deviry and norethisterone work by inducing a withdrawal bleed. They don't require a true ovulation to have happened first. With PCOS, many cycles are anovulatory. That means there may not always be an ovulation to track around a bleed like this one. An induced period resets your uterine lining, but it doesn't mean your ovaries cycled in sync with it. So yes, your ovarian and uterine cycles can genuinely fall out of step.
Next Steps
Ovulation predictor kits tracking your
LH surge work better than counting back from an induced period. A progesterone blood test around day 21 of a natural cycle is another option. Your hypothyroidism can also affect cycle regularity, so it's worth factoring in too.
