It is fine to take 29 mg of iron byglycinate tablet every alternative day or more is required to correct long term iron deficiency anemia ( I have sensitive stomach too hench the byglycinate form )

Good afternoon Yes alternate days  can take it is good for sensitive gut  and also take with vitamin c for better absorption, first check your blood report, and start supplements and after 1 month again check if your blood report is improved than can continue and levels are good than can stop . However, whether 29 mg is enough to correct anemia depends on your Hb, ferritin, transferrin saturation, severity of deficiency, menstrual blood loss, and the actual elemental-iron content of your tablet. I would not automatically increase the dose without reviewing your blood reports. ☆ For a sensitive stomach, you can :- ● Take the supplement on alternate days initially. ● Take it with a small amount of food if an empty stomach causes significant nausea, although absorption may be somewhat lower. ● Keep tea/coffee, calcium supplements and dairy away from the iron dose. ● Vitamin C–containing food alongside the supplement can support absorption. ● Recheck CBC/Hb and ferritin after about 3–4 weeks to assess response. If Hb/ferritin are not improving adequately, the dose, adherence, absorption, ongoing blood loss, or the diagnosis needs to be reassessed.
