a ferritin level of 11.8 ng/mL suggests low iron stores (iron deficiency without anemia). Iron supplementation is recommended, especially if you have heavy menstrual bleeding, fatigue, hair fall, are planning pregnancy, or have symptoms. Along with supplements, include iron-rich foods (green leafy vegetables, legumes, beans, dates, jaggery, lean meat if non-vegetarian) and vitamin C-rich foods to improve iron absorption.
Next Steps
consult a physician for iron supplements and repeat hb and serum ferritin after 4-6 weeks
Health Tips
do not consume tea or coffee with iron supplements as they can reduce the absorption of iron and if u have no gastric issues to improve absorption u can take it alongwith vitamin c supplements.
