Whenever I brush my teeth me gums start bleeding.Moreover there is swelling in my gums since a long time.

Please get a scaling done and depending on severity of swelling you can get laser treatment done which will help bleeding gums too along with swelling

The swelling of Gums is called Gingivitis. Gingivitis causes bleeding. Which is probably due to poor oral hygiene, accumulation of plaque and calculus. Consult a dentist for Scaling and Polishing.
Next Steps
Brush properly twice daily and use a Mouthwash Orahex Plus.
Health Tips
Get Scaling and Polishing done once in a year.
