You idea weight can be determined by your height. So without that information it is hard to tell how much your weight should actually be. If you are trying to gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you spend. Generally, taking high calorie but healthy foods like nuts, eggs, milk, cheese, curd etc will help you gain weight, but slowly. Eat at least a handful of nuts everyday. Drink 500 ml of milk and eat 500 ml of curd everyday. Apart from that, you can eat two eggs a day and 100 grams of chicken or fish at least 3-4 times a week. Along with good diet, also include a workout for about 30 minutes a day. This helps in absorption of all the nutrients from the food you take.
