How to safely withdraw propananlol

2023-09-27 06:16:10
Good morning. I'm using inderal 40 mg since July for anxiety and fast heart rate. Now my heart rate , anxiety is under control. I would like to withdraw this tablet . I consulted the physician who recommended me this medicine he said I can lower the dose gradually and taper off these tablets. I bought 20 mg... Will there be any side effects if I lower the dose. I want to safely withdraw this medicine. Please be kind as I have experienced rude response before.

Hi I am glad that you are recovered from anxiety and tachycardia. Yes you can safely taper off to 20mg then gradually to 10mg. If you have anxiety or increase heart rate while tapering you can increase the dose upto tolerance.

Always best to consult the same physician who examined you pre treatment so that he or she can compare your previous and current symptoms.
