My mom 72yrs old gained 2 kg weight from 67kg to 69kg in 5 months resulting in body and leg joint pain. She can't do any exercise due to slip disc and outside walk since last 5 months due to covid. Please suggest any diet plan or light exercise to loose some weight.

Give her more vegetables cooked,fruits and cooked sprouts .Avoid rice wheat,carbohydrates .Eat millets in all the meals. Intake ghee instead of oil. Avoid nonveg,fastfoods,bakery foods,spicy masala foods. Millets can be cooked into khichdi,kheer,gruel.with vegetables.
