Greetings Sir!
It is true that Depression and Anxiety, like any chronic condition, can relapse, that is, return or flare up after a period of remission.
Even though, pharmacological treatment is at times, very necessary and beneficial; it may only be of symptomatic relief. That is, acting like a painkiller, and may not help in addressing the 'cause' or 'why' of the source of your depressive and anxious thoughts.
Therefore, Counselling and Therapeutic work would help in understanding what situations if any trigger your stress response, how you can see it from an objective lens, and manage your response to stressful
situations so that the difficulty does not lead to pathology, that is, in your case-Depression and/or Anxiety.
Next Steps
It would be very wise to seek regular Therapy in-adjunct to your medicinal intervention.
Health Tips
Remember this analogy: Crocin would only make the headache go away for a while, but if it returns, we need to address and understand why is it happening at the first place.
