only your prescribing doctor can tell you exactly how to take potassium citrate and citric acid oral solution (dose, frequency, timing), because it depends on your individual health profile, lab values, and the reason it was prescribed.

Dear, This is urinary alkaliser basically. It relieves bladder irritation by alkalizing urine(if bladder irritation is due to acidic urine!) Donot take it directly. Mix the dose in full glass water and take immediately after food. Also avoid with antacids, anti bladder spasm medicines etc . Your doctor may be prescribing it for urinary tract infection actually. But it needs more information to confirm the diagnosis as it may also be due to other things.(urine rm test, may be done as per need). How frequent do you have uti? Your blood sugar levels? May be you are diabetic and hence due to sugar in urine you have  got it infected! May be! High triglyceride may also be the result of eating something before blood sampling. But raised blood pressure and deranged lipid profile are often associated. Also your weight is more as per your height, as your BMI comes 31, it's more on obesity side and hence you have raised bp and fatty live and dyslipidimia can be because of that! (but what is your grade of fatty liver? Is someone in your family obese, hypertensive or diabetic?) Also your bp values? Feel free to connect with me for more improvised treatment options. Take care 😊

Dilute your prescribed dose of potassium citrate and citric acid oral solution in a full glass (8 oz / 240 mL) of cold water or juice, and drink it after meals or with food. This process neutralizes excess acid, prevents gout and kidney stones, and avoids gastrointestinal irritation from the concentrated salts. Review these essential steps for safe use: Measure Accurately: Shake the bottle well before use. Always use a specialized measuring spoon, dropper, or oral syringe rather than a regular household spoon to get the exact dose. Proper Dilution: Mix the liquid into at least a glass of water or juice, and follow it with an additional glass of water if desired. Dosage Schedule: It is typically taken 2 to 4 times a day (e.g., after meals and at bedtime), depending on your doctor's orders. Taking it with or shortly after meals helps prevent stomach upset. Monitor pH: Your doctor  may require you to monitor your urine's acid levels using specific testing strips (such as Hydrion Paper or Nitrazine paper) to ensure the dosage remains effective. Storage & Missed Doses: Store the medication at room temperature away from moisture and heat. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but skip it if it is nearly time for your next scheduled dose.

Potassium citrate + citric acid oral solution (commonly prescribed for bladder irritation to alkalinize urine): take the prescribed dose (usually 10–20 ml) diluted in a full glass of water (200–250 ml) — never take it undiluted. It is typically taken 3 times a day after meals. Drink plenty of water throughout the day (2.5–3 litres) while on this medication, as it works best when you are well hydrated. Avoid sugary drinks, carbonated beverages, and citrus juices while on it. For your high triglycerides and fatty liver: cut out sugar, refined carbs, fried food, and sugary drinks completely — these are the main drivers of elevated triglycerides and fatty liver. Focus on whole grains, vegetables, lean protein, and regular exercise. Your doctor may also start you on a lipid-lowering medication — take it as prescribed.
Next Steps
Take the potassium citrate solution exactly as prescribed, well diluted. Follow up with your doctor in 4–6 weeks with a repeat lipid profile and liver function test. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.

This is usually prescribed for "bladder irritation" to make urine less acidic and reduce burning/irritation. It also helps prevent certain types of kidney stones. Intake With food and lots of water Take it after meals with a full glass of water to avoid stomach upset. - Dilute it:It’s usually mixed with water or juice. Don’t take it undiluted. - Don’t take on an empty stomach and don’t lie down right after. -Follow the exact dose and timing your doctor wrote on the prescription label. The dose depends on your lab values, weight, and kidney function.
