Hematoma blood collection in pregnancy

2025-03-15 12:19:08
Im 16 week pregnant with DCDA twins(both are Anterior placenta) through IVF. At 6 week pregnancy i observed spotting for few weeks. Later after NT scan at 12th week, I got heavy bleeding ...in scan they mentioned I got hematoma collected near placenta. Brown discharge is happening for me from more than a week even till 16th week, when I went for scanning they mentioned that Hematoma increased from 39*19*34mm with. volume 14cc To 46*22*44mm with volume 29cc. Doctor mentioning it might be old blood and to take rest. Is the situation harmful to babies? How long this bleeding I can see? Are there any reasons to increase Hematoma?

Hematoma in pregnancy if increasing could be a potential risk for miscarriage. You should ideally be on complete bed rest and timely checkups are mandatory.
