Hi good morning your problem is purely postural related. Bad posture for longer duration will creat tightness in skin fascia or muscle ( soft tissue). If u have occupational strain then also u r going to hv problem in neck. This type of pain generally respond to ointment or hot pack or pain killer for temporary period. So solution is release tight structure then strengthen the muscle, postural corrections. Follow office ergonomic rule and regular stretching at office will ease your problem, hope this will help u or consult a sports physio. Your posture is an important thing in your neckpain symptoms. Especially if the pain worsens after having the head.bent.for some time. I suggest you sit at a comfortable desk and have a correct height chair. Take frequent breaks and also stretch your neck often. Use simple painkillers and hot fomentation as needed. If with these changes the pain does not improve or if you start getting pain down your arms, then you will need to see a Spinal Surgeon for assessment and investigations as appropriate. Hope this helps. Dr Vinu Raj Consultant Spine Surgeon MBBS MRCS FRCS(Trauma&Orth)
