I have tinnitus for last 3 years. It was like ringing,buzzing in the ear during the day. It was on and off. But the pulsating tinnitus where I hear the heartbeat while laying down on my sides started after that. It's been like this for more than an year now. It happens only when I lay down in my sides and not my back . I hear it when I lay down on either right or left side. Both sides cause this heartbeat sound in the ear. I can hear the thumping pulsing heartbeat sound. I have jaw and neck pain. And did MRI of tmj. It shows , right sigmoid bulb venous diverticulum. Is this treatable? Is pulsating tinnitus beacuse of this? Is hearing heartbeat while laying down is something serious?
