Having issues sustaining focus
Hello Doctor, I’ve been noticing things in myself that make it very hard for me to focus, start tasks, and stay consistent especially with my studies. I often plan daily routines but feel stuck when it comes to actually executing things that I've planned. My mind tends to wander during my lectures and I find myself lost in my thoughts in the middle of the lectures. I also struggle with procrastination, zoning out, and overthinking. After reading more about ADHD, some of these things feel relatable, but I’m not sure if it’s just stress or something else. Could this possibly be ADHD? How should I approach understanding this better?

Usually psychiatrists are reluctant to diagnose ADHD or prescribe stimulants given the stigma and lack of specific training in india. ADHD often is seen as limited to young hyperactive boys. I would suggest connecting with us for a specific consult to rule out ADHD and management options.

For concluding any diagnosis, symptoms of present state , onset duration, associated features are assessment and history taking regarding childhood, adolescent also needed, it will be better if you plan a consultation with your caretaker or guardian who able to give details. Do not bother too much, you will be okay and feel good, once proper management started after assessment,
