Bad breath, also known as halitosis can be due to various reasons. But, its due to poor oral hygiene I would recommend you to get scaling done every 6 months, brush twice daily and floss once everyday and use a tomgue scraper to clean your tongue. Sometimes bacteria and food gets deposited on the tongue and can cause bad breath as well so cleaning your tongue is equally necessary.

Hello, Halitosis or bad breath could be due to multiple reasons. One of the main causes is poor oral hygiene -taratar / cavities. However sometimes, it may also occur due to other reasons related to 1. Stomach/ digestive tract- acid reflux/gerd 2. Respiratory infection - cold/ sinusitis 3. "Bad breath, or halitosis, can be due to  various factors such as poor oral hygiene, gum disease, dry mouth, smoking, certain medical conditions, or consumption of strong-smelling foods. To manage this issue, it's essential to maintain good oral hygiene practices, including regular brushing, flossing, and rinsing. Additionally, scheduling regular dental check-ups, staying well-hydrated, and avoiding tobacco products can be beneficial. If the problem persists, I recommend consulting your dentist or healthcare provider to identify and address any underlying conditions."

halitosis can occur due to other systemic conditions also. if there is no signs of infection and inflammation or spaces where food is getting stucked in mouth then the halitosis can be due to other problems. there is no harm in consulting GP.
Health Tips
do brushing and flossing before bed time.
