H a1c value

Hba1c value is 6.40 is this diabetes. Kindly suggest . What could be done to mitigate the impact. Is this very serious.

HbA1C 6.4 is Prediabetes. If it crosses 6.5 then it is Diabetes.
Next Steps
please follow the diet mentioned below. Do regular walking 30 minutes daily. Check sugar once every 3 months. if it crosses 6.5 please consult Diabetologist.

Hi I can understand your concern It's pre diabetes No need to worry Plan for regular exercise and proper diet You can become normal Check for fbs , ppbs so need to check any medication needed 1.Always try to take Freshly prepared meals, 2.should not skip breakfast 3.have nuts before exercise 4.take small 5 to 6 small meals a day 5.avoid Packages, processes, ready to eat foods 6.drink adequate water . 7. take different color fruit a day ------------------------------------ Morning - Yogurt with sliced fruits or brown rice idlis  or glass of milk/ bread or porridge/ semi cooked Vegetable ------------------------- lunch - mixed-vegetable curry or brown rice/ Brown rice with dal or Vegetable soup, Whole-grain roti  with salad ------------------------------ dinner - multigrain rotis or  salad/Veg paratha with raita or bowl of fruits or brown rice and vegetables
