Like our skin, hair color the color of gums may also vary from person to person. Dark coloration may be due to melanin pigmentation. Don't worry its normal.

Having a black colour skin is not a disease, over the face or in side the mouth. Cosmetic advertisement on TV makes us think that way. Having a black pigments actually keeps u away from diseases. Take your child to a an oral diagnostician (OMR) He or she will tell u if those pigments are normal or diseased.

Gaps in milk teeth are normal thing, no need to worry about , about color, start cleaning/massage of gums with clean, dustfree, washed cloth, by wrapping in your finger, secondly black color may be genetic also
Next Steps
follow gum cleaning, observe for color difference after 6months
Health Tips
brush is also available in medical stores which you can hold in single finger, like ring

Posting a clinical picture would have been more helpful.... considering his age, this is most likely a non pathological condition wherein the amount of melanin in the gum tissue is more in some patients..... it is nothing to be worried or treated.... Regards....
