In general cooking in pressure cooker and microwave decreases the nrutient quality of any food. Its always better to cook in clay pot or iron vessels. If these are not available cook in steel vessel. Try to give fresh food always. And include a wholesome diet of ragi, oats, fruits, vegetables

Absolutely safe. Modern methods of cooking preserve all essential nutrients in diet. Fruits of course should not be cooked.
Next Steps
For babies, it is best to use a mixer grinder for the cooked food to make a puree like consistency. It helps in swallowing of cooked food.
Health Tips
Very young babies can not swallow large spoonful of food, so give small quantities frequently. Always remember to burp the baby  during and after feeding. It helps to expel the air swallowed with food, and makes way for more food .
