Fever from Last 20 Days
My son has a fever from last 20 Days.
We had checked his blood and urine also but report were normal both times.
He got fever 1 time in whole day and it reaches upto 102
Local Doctor is also unable to recognize the diseases.
He is not eating well also, From last 20 Days it's weight reduce by 3 kg.
Report & medicine prescription are attached along with this.
Kindly suggest, I am very much worried.
Fever persisting for 3 weeks is always worrisome..
Thorough physical exam. is most crucial
Needs work up: repeat CBC, peripheral smear careful exam., blood and urine culture, chest x ray
Depending on phy exam and these reports; subsequent plan can be decided

If not accompanied by any other symptoms like vomiting or loose motions or coughing and breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed,just give paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required.
