Hello, as per my blood test report, ferritin value is 1.8 ng. Is it the reason for my Hair fall from last 5 years. I have started taking fefol z Capsule daily from last 1 month but hair fall hasn't reduced. Should i increase the dose?

Hello, Thank you for the query. Will surely help you. Low ferritin levels could be a reason for your hair fall. It can also be due to other mineral deficiencies like B- vitamins or vitamin D or also due to lack of protein in your diet. You can take your medicine along with lemon water to increase absorption of iron in the body and include iron and vitamin C rich foods on your diet. Including good amounts of healthy fats in your diet will also minimize your hair loss. Hope this information helps. For a customised diet plan through an online or an in-person consultation, you can reach out to me via practo or on www.vasundhara.me . Thanks

Hi, thank you for your enquiry. There are many reasons for hair fall like deficiency of B vitamins, minerals or proteins. It can also be due to stress and hormonal changes. Do not increase the dosage. Following a healthy diet plan will help. For personalised diet and exercise guidance please contact us.
